As I lay here in my bed writing this post and watching the One Love concert in benefit for the victims of the Manchester attack, I can’t help but feel sad and kinda disturbed.
It’s so sad that we have gotten to this hopeless place due to all these selfless and terrifying attacks. With tears running down my face, I’m trying to figure out how can I make a difference. We often tend to get caught up in non important issues like stress from work, a stupid argument with a friend or boyfriend/girlfriend, jealousy… and me being in the blogging world we often just worry about our next outfit, how many likes we got in one picture or how many followers we have, and I can be guilty of that as well.
But what is real important in life is being a good person, be grateful, be sympathetic, and spread love and good vibes with others. This is the time to stand by one another, not against each other.
With that being said, I am not saying we shouldn’t take our mind off all these violence and focus on what we enjoy doing, but we should be mindful of what is going on out there and take some action. Even though we might not be able to stop them, we can start by doing small actions of love and compassion or we can start by just being NICE to our friends, parents, family, co-workers etc. I see so much hate on social media and it just makes me sick to know that people can be so mean.
One thing I want to work on myself this year is being more present. Social media has taken over our generation that sometimes we forget to actually enjoy what we are doing and spend time with our loved ones. Life is short and we never know what is going to happen.
Anyway, I just felt like I had to get that out of my chest and the best way to share it is through the small voice my blog has giving me.
I love you all and I really hope one day we can enjoy life without worrying about violence and bullying.
